eternal year of the saxophone

A bunch of thinkpieces about saxophones in pop music came out in late 2011. Because of M83, tUnEyArDs, and I think a well-reviewed Colin Stetson album, some buzz bloggers decided that 2011 had been the Year Of The Saxophone and that they would no longer say Bon Iver was lame for using a soprano sax that one time. In this tape I was trying to demonstrate that our reedy friend had been unfairly maligned during the years of B.S. authenticity-seeking in guitar music, and that in one way or another it has always been the year of the saxophone.
